Will Valentine’s Day be about Love or Money?

As soon as February approaches, Valentine’s Day is on the minds of many. Stores began carrying Valentine’s Day stuffed animals, hearts, candy and more in the beginning of January and planting that subliminal message. Will you fall “victim” to the message or will you get creative this year and make sure that your Valentine’s Day is about love.

Below are some suggestions on how to make your Valentine’s Day about Love:

1) Write your loved one a poem expressing what he or she means to you not just this day but every day. If you are not a poet, step out on a limb and get your creative juices flowing. Remember little things mean a lot.

2) Create your own card and get pictures of both of you that you’ve had for over the years. Make a collage that is like a day in the life of your relationship that will tell the story of happy and maybe sad time yet, you are still together.

3) Surprise him or her with candles and balloons. Or go for a different type of Valentine’s day gift and do a couples massage. That could be lots of fun and will probably be unexpected.

4) Make a candlelight dinner and have candles all around the bath tub so that you can draw a bath after dinner.

You don’t have to spend a lot of money in order to create a memory that will last a lifetime. Do something that is not the norm this year and watch what happens.
