Tribe Finders for Business

Ellen Little Business Resolutions

Sometimes you are light and sometimes you are someone's shade

Hello Friends, it has been a wonderful exciting year.  I have so much to tell you, so stay tuned! First of all, the best thing that I ever did for my business and for myself was to establish my tribe.

I have a group of people who have diverse backgrounds, passions and businesses and together we click. We bounce wonderful ideas off of each other. We meet a few times a month at events or meetings and we always find time to brainstorm new ideas and adventures.

This year our adventures consisted of: Celebrating our 1 year anniversary on July 4th, 2012 with Rich Chix Investment Group: Celebrating the 1 year anniversary of Atlantic Real Estate Brokerage; a bunch of us went stand up paddleboarding; new business openings; job club ministries developed; faculty groups bonded; and much much more.  We celebrate as much as we possibly can; all of the great news that all of us are experiencing.

That is one of the keys to success. Find a tribe. Find a group of people who are experiencing similar adventures, and bond together to create support for one another. You will find power and strength in numbers (and friends).

Great Power in Brainstorming!

I have always felt very accustomed to brainstorming as a way to grow business directives.  I felt like I have spent ample time solving challenging situations, finding new ways of doing things and coming up with alternate plans in this process.  I was involved (and continue to be involved) in a group that consistently uses brainstorming as a way for the group members to help each other; and I continue to be amazed at the power that it gives me.

The trick to brainstorming is to write down EVERYTHING that comes to mind without judgement or notions.  After you perform the first part of this type of session; then is the time to edit and decide which of your items you can take action on.  I was amazed today in the brainstorming that I did with my group, because we came up with things that I NEVER would have thought would work, and voila, I found evidence of effectiveness and productivity.

So, everyone…take out your flip charts or your white boards; your crayons and your markers; Write the issue that you are trying to solve at the top of the paper or the board; and then clear your mind.  Say the issue or challenge that you have written at the top of the page OUT LOUD.  Then as words or phrases start flying into your head space, write them down as fast as you can-again, don’t think about it or judge it, just do it.  You will be amazed at what appears on that paper.

Pick one or two of those items (the best ones of course) to implement.  Then enjoy your success as you continue to grow and explore the possibilities of unlimited beliefs.
